Generator Warehouse first opened its doors in March 2008 in the wake of South Africa’s first round of blackouts and load-shedding caused by deficiencies in Eskom’s supply lines. The business began in a showroom in Bryanston and focused initially on those market segments hardest hit by the power outages: large residential and small commercial applications. Back in those early days, the full staff complement was four people, all intimately involved in importing and installing generators sourced from a variety of overseas manufacturers. Over the years, the team grew to the current head-count of 22 and we established a solid group of suppliers, offering dependable generators and accessories. The range of services offered by Generator Warehouse has also grown to include servicing, repairs, break-down support and diesel deliveries. Along the way, our client-base has grown to include a number of large industrial customers and, in order to support this rapidly growing client-base, we have established a dedicated showroom backed by a comprehensive workshop with high-level in-house technical generator expertise.
